Most library databases require you to sign in and as a result the URL in your browser window is session based and may not work on another computer or for a different person.

In order to get a stable URL to a library article or database you need to use the permalink feature of that resource. You may need to add a prefix that prompts for Roseman University Library login. Below are some examples of how to get the permanent URL in some popular library databases. If you have any question about a specific database please reach out to us at library@roseman.edu.

To Link to a Database

An Article in the Library Discovery Search

  1. Login using the grey bar at the top of the screen
  2. Click the title of an article in your search results that you want to link to
  3. Click the share arrow in the upper right
  4. Click Create link and copy the URL to your clipboard

An eBook in AccessMedicine

  1. Copy the URL to the ebook from the browser window
  2. Add the prefix "https://go.openathens.net/redirector/roseman.edu?url=" to the URL so Roseman affiliated users will be asked to sign in and get full text access.
  3. In the example below you would end up with the URL https://go.openathens.net/redirector/roseman.edu?url=https://accessmedicine.mhmedical.com/book.aspx?bookid=3343

An eBook in Clinical Key

  1. Navigate to Clinical Key's implementation page and scroll down to "Durable URLs."
  2. Select Download Book URLs. If you want to link a specific book chapter, select Download Book Chapter URLs. This will download an Excel file. It will typically appear in your Downloads folder and in your browser's downloads tab.
  3. Open the Excel spreadsheet and search for the title of your book.
  4. Copy the corresponding link in column D.

Scroll down to Durable URLs and locate the "Downlaod Book URLs" link
